Join the Collegiate High School Program and earn your AA Degree while you are still in high school
If you would like to graduate from high school with both a diploma and a university-transfer Associate in Arts (AA) degree, the Collegiate High School may be the program for you! For more information, click on the links to the left or contact Mrs. Adams in guidance at 454-1005.
Starting in the 10th grade, participants spend part of the school day at a EFSC-Cocoa campus taking courses that satisfy both high school graduation and AA degree requirements. The other part is spent at the high school completing required high school courses. College credits earned at EFSC transfer to any of Florida’s public universities provided that the receiving university offers the same course with the same course number.
Besides the educational benefits, participants also enjoy a substantial financial benefit! The Associate in Arts Degree is comparable to the freshman and sophomore years of a university program. By receiving an Associate in Arts (AA) Degree at your high school graduation, you will have completed two years of college for free - no tuition, fees, residency and textbook costs. The application process begins the end of month of January of ninth grade. Students be willing to commit to academic rigor and success.
